Anyone who has frequented the Giggle website in recent days has noticed that it was advertising a big sale and saying the website was being updated. Now it's totally gone and the stores are all closing as the company is out of business.

From what I can tell from those who have been able to get in touch with them, New York's Soho and Upper East Side location are totally closed. The Upper West Side, Denver, Santa Monica and San Francisco stores will remain open for several weeks while they sell through their inventory at big discounts.

They are NOT accepting gift cards, merchandise credit, returns or exchanges according to messages that have been sent out. A comment on their Facebook by a shopper says that a different company will honor the gift cards and their is a note on one of their store doors, but I don't know anything about this.

I'm personally very sad to see this happen. When I started blogging back in 2004, Giggle was already around. Too many stores have come and gone in that time.
