Th new Cybex Sirona S

April 01, 2020

Cybex has introduced the Sirona S, the first convertible car seat in the U.S. with a one-hand 360° rotatable seat and load leg technology. This innovative feature makes switching between rear-facing and forward-facing positions safer, quicker, and easier than ever.

Abundant with safety and lifestyle features, Sirona S’s innovative rotating mechanism eliminates the need for re-installation by allowing the seat to move seamlessly from rear to forward position in one motion, and also provides a convenient entry/exit position that reduces uncomfortable lifting for the parent. Aimed at delivering the safest environment for the child, CYBEX designed Sirona S to be the first convertible seat in the U.S. to feature load-leg technology, which stabilizes the seat and reduces the forward rotational force during a collision.

Like the majority of CYBEX car seats, Sirona S also features SensorSafe technology that syncs with a parent’s smartphone to provide alerts when a child is left unattended, a child unbuckles themselves, or the ambient temperature around the child becomes too hot or too cold. The seat’s Driving Direction Control (DDC) feature allows for extended rear-facing use from 4 lbs to 50 lbs. Once the child is between 22 lbs and 65 lbs, they advance to forward-facing position, and the seat's Energy Reduction Technology protects the child in collisions, with the headrest sliding down to limit the neck’s exposure to the impact forces and subsequently locking into position. Further, Integrated Linear Side Impact Protection System (L.S.P.), reduces the force to the seat by approximately 25 percent in the event of a side-impact collision.
